Yep... All of this cuteness can be a little overwhelming. Got questions? Purrfect! We've got answers:

ARE RESERVATIONS REQUIRED?

DSC_0220.jpg

Not required, but we definitely recommend making a reservation because our capacity is very limited. We want to ensure that everyone gets to spend time with our kitties without annoying lines or waitlists. We will take walk-ins if we have enough space. If you're walking by our space, come on in! But if you're planning your visit ahead of time, making a reservation is a good idea :)

WHAT IS YOUR ADOPTION PROCESS?

thurs.jpg

First, we'll see which kitty you fall in love with :) Then, we'll have a quick chat with you to ensure you meet our rescue partner's requirements. We are the fosters/caretakers of these cats, but the adoption approval process goes through our rescue partner. This is why we'll have you fill out an adoption application. Within a day or a few, you'll participate in a phone interview with their adoption coordinator. If it's a good match, you'll be approved, pay the $125 adoption fee (that goes back to our rescue partner) and schedule a day and time for the cat's pick up! The process can take anywhere from a day to about a week, depending on how available you are for the phone call and how busy the adoption coordinator is. Do note weekends and Holidays are busiest for adoptions!

DO YOU WORK WITH ASAP OR THE LOCAL SHELTERS?

DSC_0113 12.17.47 PM.jpg

We love our local rescue organizations. But the amount of adoptions we generate a month didn't make it possible for us to just work with a local shelter. We tried for a while, but we were running out of cats on a regular basis (What a great problem to have!). Even though there are many cats in need in SB, the local shelters are doing a great job and we aren't a city that euthanizes cats due to lack of space. This is why we decided to use our resources to save cats facing euthanasia at high kill shelters. Los Angeles has one of the highest rates of euthanasia for neonatal kittens and cats in the country. We couldn't bare to think so many cats were being put down in a city so close to us, when we could help! We are changing that reality with our rescue partner Stray Cat Alliance. We do assist local rescues like ResQcats in any way we can.

I AM NOT LOOKING TO ADOPT, CAN I STILL VISIT?

DSC_0086.jpg

One of our favorite things about the Cat Cafe Experience concept is that your visit supports our mission, regardless of your ability to adopt. We don’t profit off of the adoptions, we send adoption fees back to our rescue partner. Our main goal is to get cats out of shelters and into an environment where they can free roam and get socialized. This is why we LOVE it when people visit, even if they can’t take a cat home. We get a lot of exposure this way, which promotes our cat adoptions naturally. It also helps socialize our cats!

WHY DO YOU CHARGE AN ENTRY FEE?

DSC_0233.jpg

Because cat cafes aren't generally allowed to make their own food (in the US) and we do not profit from the adoptions, charging a reservation fee is the only way we can bring this pawesome business to you and continue to help shelter cats. Your reservation fee is spent on all of the regular business expenses plus all the other costs that come with caring for 13-22 rescued cats.

CAN I CANCEL MY RESERVATION?

thurs.jpg

We will happily reschedule your reservation with 24 hours in advance, but we are unable to offer refunds at this time. You can also make changes to your reservation by clicking on the "Modify Reservation" button on your confirmation email. All sales are final, meaning cancellations and "no shows" are non-refundable.
