Cat Therapy fosters adoptable cats in a cage free environment to improve their quality of life and also increase their chances of finding a home. To visit us, you do not need to be looking to adopt and we have a very relaxed approach to adoptions, we will only bring it up during your visit if you are interested in learning more about it. That being said, all of our cats are adoptable and we have a fantastic adoption rate.
If you're visiting this page, you're probably curious about our adoption process. Read on to learn more about adoptions at Cat Therapy.
Why adopt from Cat Therapy?
Our cage free environment allows for the cat's true personalities to shine, increasing your chances of meeting your purrfect match: A cat that you will fall in love with and that will also fit your lifestyle. Not all cats are the same, at Cat Therapy you will meet playful ones, cuddly cats, crazy kittens, those shy kitties that once they warm up they'll love you unconditionally... all kinds of different personalities!
This is why we always recommend potential adopters to come visit our space and meet the cats in person before adopting.
Once you have someone in mind, we will have you fill out the adoption application.
We work with an amazing rescue organization based out of LA called Stray Cat Alliance. Something important to point out is that we do not own these cats, we foster them from our rescue partner Stray Cat Alliance to help them in getting more cats rescued. Cat Therapy will help you find a cat you love during your visit, but once you fill out the adoption application, Stray Cat Alliance will review it and either approve or deny it.
All cats have received up to date vaccinations, a microchip, a FelV & FIV test, a deworming treatment and a general vet checkup. All of this is included in the adoption fee of $125. This fee is paid directly towards Stray Cat Alliance and we do not receive any kickbacks from adoptions. This is why Cat Therapy charges an entry fee to visit the cats. That is how we are able to pay for the care of these cats while they stay with us.
ADOPTION APPLICATION INFO:
Applicants must be 21+. It is also important to keep in mind that a lot of our cats have grown up around other cats, therefore some may need to go home to families that already have another cat at home, or to people interested in adopting a pair. Some cats are bonded to their siblings and need to go home together. We do sometimes have "solo" cats that can go home without any other pets, so please inquire about that if you don't notice any on our adoptable cats list.
If you have already visited us and have a cat in mind, you can apply for adoption through the link below.
Once you fill out the application, you will receive a call within a few days. Please email us at email@example.com with a heads up so Cat Therapy is also aware of your application. We also like being in touch with our applicants to make sure there's no delays through SCA.
If you have any additional questions please email us!
